Hawkesdene's newest edition, our massive outdoor wood-burning smoker, is sure to make you salivate as the delicious aromas of smoked meats, fish and vegetables permeate the air. Enjoy farm-to-fork food, presented buffet-style, either in the main house dining area or outside under our open air pavilion. Our chef team will personally guide you to create a spectacular dining experience for you and your guests.
Leading our innovative culinary team at Hawkesdene is Chef Matthew Williamson. Originally from Austin, Texas, Chef Matthew has developed a passion for pairing open fire with the seasonal bounty from the vast farmland. There, his food was featured in Austin Monthly magazine, the Austin Chronicle and Texas Monthly. He studied Culinary Arts and Sciences at the Texas Culinary Academy. As a seasoned talent with extensive experience in fine dining, Chef Matthew is committed to providing exceptional flavors fit for the most celebrated occasions.
As a member of the Slow Food Movement, Sous Chef Caroline El-Khouri brings a deep passion for fresh and naturally nourishing food. A gifted baker, she creates all of our pastries, breads and desserts from scratch using all natural, Carolina-grown wheat. Chef Caroline is known for her refreshing use of the abundant local vegetation of the Southern Appalachia.
Phil Rampy, co-owner of Hawkesdene and chef extraordinaire, maintains an active consulting role for the culinary team. An Alabama native with over 30 years in restaurant and catering, his deep southern roots and warm hospitality set the tone for a truly unique dining experience.
The group dining plan is required for onsite guests and the rate per person includes all meals, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, bar supplies and service. While Hawkesdene does not sell alcoholic beverages, you are welcome to provide your own and there is no additional fee for this. We are happy to handle the set-up, management and service of your alcoholic beverages once they arrive on property.
