Henri our black Portuguese waterdog is know as the Mayor of Hawkesdene. When not playing follow the leader he loves to accompany guests on hikes to the Falls or Gazebo.

Our Abby may be getting old but she is still the reigning queen of the barnyard and she is teaching the new dogs old tricks.

Phil has a new hobby. Free range chickens. Somehow we think this hobby will grow.

I love my life!

Hiking is a must every season. Numerous private trails grace our property and the adjoining Nantahala National Forest trails await you.

Mountain air loves everyone.

Our outdoor living room and pavilion are a favorite even when it rains.

Great setting for lunch and dinner all year round.

So that's how that works!

Our chicks finally have names: Henrietta, Chicken Little and Chick a Dee. Now get to work girls!

The animals are so curious of the new chickens. I hope they don't eat all the eggs. We need some for breakfast. Did we mention we also have two pet mini goats that just love to get in your lap?

Our mini Donks Smarty and Bella love to strike a pose.

Our Hidden Falls are a great spot to soak in nature. Not a bad place to wash your hair either.
