You'll enter our North Carolina mountain retreat under a sylvan canopy, driving past the barn and into our little cove. As the driveway curves to the Hawkesdene House, you'll pass our four guest cabins where the broad lawn and pergola garden meet the trees.

      Estate lodging is in the main house, which sits above the sparkling waters of Phillips Creek. The main house features three guest rooms and three private apartments, each with upscale linens, private bath and TV, and one with a full kitchen. The main house is elegantly furnished, yet you're still free to put your feet up and relax. This is where comfort blends with sophistication.

      There are spacious areas, like the great room with vaulted ceiling, fireplace, baby grand piano and large screen TV. And the open-air pavilion with large stone fireplace and comfy couches. And there are cozy places, like the upstairs library with over-stuffed leather furniture and the sunny game room on the main floor.
